Gig on May 15th

The next gig at the CDP is on Saturday May 15th from 7-11.There will be as ever a mix of musical styles on the night.

The line up is

Mongolia - 3 Piece from Dublin.(pictured above)
They play slow, heavy rock in the style of Black Sabbath and faster rock tunes ala Rory Gallagher.

Roosky.
Three piece Punk band from Dublin, sound like old New Ross band Brawl co-incidentally.

Admission is 5 euro- a bargain for 4 acts on a saturday night.

New Ross Community Music - whats that?

This blog is to provide information on gigs running in New Ross CDP and information about our community music space, practice room etc.

New Ross is a small town in County Wexford Ireland and New Ross CDP is a local community group who among many other things are developing a practice , recording and performance space for bands, DJ's Rappers etc.

This is been done with grants from the Dormant Accounts fund ( money that was left in the banks for years unclaimed and then taken by the Government for social projects) and the HSE and run with the involvement of local people on a voluntary basis.

There has already been some gigs in our community centre with metal, punk and techno acts but we will shortly be putting on events more regularly. Expect reviews, previews, photos etc here!

Also here will be details of how to get invovled, how to book the practice space etc etc.

Ours is a non profit group so costs will be kept low.
